Brocade Names New Head for South East Asia

Brocade named Lily Foo as head for South East Asia region responsible for charting the company’s overall growth across the region. She will be based in Singapore and report directly to Brocade Vice President for Asia Pacific (APAC) Charlie Foo.

According to IDC, South East Asian IT spending will hit US$48 billion for 2012, representing a market growth of 13 percent year-on-year. As the regional IT markets mature, CIOs are expected to invest in cloud computing, on-demand services, mobility and social media tools, with a heavy focus on reducing the overall cost structure and increasing efficiency within the organization.

Foo joined Brocade in 2008 and was most recently senior manager of Distribution Sales and Programs for APAC, where she worked closely with regional channel partners on localizing sales programs and leading program logistics to help drive revenue growth. Prior to Brocade, Foo was regional client director at Datacraft. She also held global account management roles with Avaya, Verizon (MCI Worldcom) and SingTel.
