Dimension Data, a global ICT solutions and services provider, announced an agreement with SAP (NYSE: SAP) to offer partner managed cloud for the SAP® Hybris® Commerce solution in the Asia Pacific and Japan region.
Dimension Data will offer an affordable, ready-to-use, subscription-based offering, Dimension Data Cloud Services for SAP Hybris Commerce, off its Managed Cloud Platform, enabling clients to access the software quickly and easily without the need for up-front infrastructure costs associated with on-premise software deployments.
This way, enterprises can accelerate their digital commerce journey and benefit from a holistic omni-channel commerce platform available on a SaaS model. This new solution offers a number of clear advantages over existing approaches.
For the first time in APAC, SAP Hybris Commerce will be available on a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model, resulting in the ability for organisations to invest in line with expected revenues, with minimal capital expenditure investment. It will be delivered as a scalable rapid-deployment solution that is managed end-to-end from an enterprise-class provider. Dimension Data Cloud Services for SAP Hybris Commerce can go live in as few as 100 days. Traditional approaches typically take three to four times as long.
Well suited for both B2B and B2C markets, Dimension Data Cloud Services for SAP Hybris Commerce will initially be available in Singapore and India, with other Asia Pacific countries to follow. According to Gartner’s Critical Capabilities for Digital Commerce, published in April 2015, SAP Hybris Commerce is the world’s leading digital commerce solution.
Manish Pratap, General Manager, ITaaS, Dimension Data Asia Pacific, said: “With Dimension Data Cloud Services for SAP Hybris Commerce, we are helping enterprises to scale fast in digital commerce, while we deliver this as an end-to-end service. We are also proud to provide this solution with the support of both SAP and some of its leading system integration partners that bring their domain expertise and SAP rapid-deployment solutions. We expect this to result in best-in-class outcomes, particularly aimed at clients focused on retail, manufacturing, food and beverage, consumer product goods, and wholesale and distribution.”
Graham Jackson, Senior Vice President, Asia-Pacific Japan and Greater China, SAP Hybris said: “The partnership marries SAP’s leading commerce expertise and Dimension Data’s cloud services, bringing to the Asia Pacific region an end-to-end SaaS commerce solution scalable with growth. This means that businesses in the region now have access to capabilities that support complete management of their commerce strategy, from omni-channel real-time contextual understanding of customers to providing robust back-end support. Given the dynamic nature of the market, this partnership helps accelerate the ambitions of enterprises required to drive omni-channel customer engagement in the digital world, with quick provisioning times that can directly impact bottom lines.”
