Netregy Systems, one of the pioneer distributors when it comes to SIP-based VoIP solutions in Malaysia believes that converged voice and data networks are revolutionising IT and communications infrastructure.
CEO, Deric Ng said, “We strongly believe SIP or IP-based communication systems is set to be the game changer of the telecommunications industry.
“IP-based communication systems promise to offer more powerful features, just like how the photocopier evolved to be a full IP-based multifunction machine.”
He added that besides emerging SIP technology, consumers are looking at open or non-proprietary solutions.
The SIP advantage
SIP or Session Initiation Protocol, definitely has advantages over legacy PSTN or analogue communications technologies. For example, SIP enables richer communications via presence, instant messaging and even file transfers. Seamless communications or easily moving from one mode of communication to another ie. email, voice calls, instant messaging and more, makes this a very useful technology for road warriors and home users.
SIP technology also allows efficient use of bandwidth; a converged system means easier management. Services like LCR or least cost routing ensures savings and no installation costs ensures quicker time to ROI as well.
Despite this and many other benefits of SIP, awareness of its benefits remains low and Netregy has been hard at work promoting it since 2009. Ng added, “We experienced and foresee an uptrend of demand for SIP-based VoIP adoption, especially for this year of 2012.
“This year, we are paying special attention to telcos and ISPs on hosted IP-PBX systems, hosted call centre solutions, inbound and outbound voice services such as discounted calls and DIDs or direct inward dialling.
Busy times
2012 has been a busy year for Netregy Systems. Besides brand and marketing exposure at happenings like industrial events and exhibitions, the specialised distributor has also co-partnered events, positioning Netregy as a value-added distributor.
Ng explained that they offer total end-to-end pure SIP solutions ranging from backend IP-PBX systems to gateways, end-point devices and SIP peripherals and accessories. “We’ve sold more than 25,000 units of SIP-based products since our entry into the VoIP market, and we’ve won the best regional market award from our principal, for the ASEAN market.”
Netregy distributes solutions and brands such as Yealink, Yeastar, 2N Helios IP, Mairdi, 3CX and even Zimbra.
Bullish on 2013
IP-based communication systems will be on the upward trend with double-digit growth for the Malaysian market.
Ng pointed out, “We foresee enterprises will be the early adopters, and hosted solutions will be the next trend of service that telcos and ISPs will be emphasising. Netregy is well-positioned to cater for such a demand.”
For example, they have a service centre with expertise to service devices locally, a training centre to upskill engineers, free helpdesk support for authorised partners, as well as free redirection and provisioning services for telcos and ISPs.
“Besides improving our service level and providing top-notch product experience for our customer, Netregy constantly strives to introduce new technologies to transfer into the industry and continuously stay in the forefront of the communication market,” concluded Ng.
