Jaring Sold to AIMS Group

Customers of the country’s first Internet service provider (ISP) Jaring can breateh a collective sigh of relief with news that the debt-beleaguered company has been acquired by Aims Cyberjaya Sdn Bhd (“AIMS”), indicating seamless continuity of their services under a strong and reputable company.
In the email that went out late yesterday afternoon, 22 July 2015 – and issued on behalf by the appointed liquidators KPMG, AIMS was identified as the successful party in Jaring’s tender exercise that commenced in June 2015, to dispose of its business and assets.
The email also served as a notice of termination of Jaring’s services to customers by 22nd August 2015.
Customer were also  given general assurance that the the data centre group had the necessary resources and capabilities to complete the customers’ migration exercise; as well as given heads up notification to be contacted by AIMS offering similar services under new contracts.
