In an official statement, Yahoo confirms that former Chief Executive Officer Scott Thompson has left the Company.
Thompson joined Yahoo as CEO on Jan 2012, who prior to Yahoo was the President of PayPal. He was expected to spur Internet related innovation and business growth by leveraging on existing Yahoo assets.
Yahoo acknowledged last week that Thompson does not have a computer science degree despite what was stated in his official company biography and in regulatory filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Yahoo’s global media head, Ross Levinsohn, will be interim CEO.
This is quite unreal.
