AWS, Nvidia, & Investment: Putting it all together for AI impact

Nvidia’s Howard Wright talks about the AI stack and how his company works with partners to realise it for companies in major regions. A five layer architectural framework was also outlined by AWS’ Rob Chu as: 1. Agent Platform Layer: Essential for managing large deployments of hundreds or thousands of agents, this platform is required to orchestrate, provide services to, enable, govern, and evolve the agents. 2. Data and Knowledge Layer: This acts as the company’s “secret sauce,” differentiating an enterprise’s AI value from its competitors. Organisations must ensure their data is “AI-ready” to effectively power these agents. 3. Model Layer: Models serve as the “brain power” for AI agents. Because the landscape of global frontier and open-weight models evolves rapidly, enterprises should select specific models based on the required tasks, balancing speed, capability 4. AI Infrastructure Layer: This foundational layer supports the execution of models and includes hardware such as AI accelerators. 5. AI Agents: The primary goal is to integrate agents that work alongside human employees to generate real company value by leveraging the aforementioned layers. According to Eric Benhamou, a venture capitalist, this architectural framework could be too simple. Hence, he talks about the other tools that could be included. These tools can provide several critical functions: – They often contain knowledge specific to a vertical industry. – They include cybersecurity features to protect the entire structure. – They assist in monitoring performance and cost, such as calculating token generation differences between models. Ultimately, it is like what AWS’s Rob Chu said, You gotta ensure your data is AI-ready so your agents can do the work for you. #infrastructure #impact #ecosystem #investment
