IBM signed a MoU with TAR College to setup an IBM Centre of Excellence for Software Technologies which will provide students with training on various software technology and IBM certifications.
This alliance is formed with TAR College’s School of Arts and Science.
With this collaboration, TAR College students will be able to gain exposure to software technology such as DB2, Lotus, Rational, Websphere and IBM Cloud Computing capabilities.
IBM global initiative has been most aggressive recently, particularly in the area of sophisticated technology.
During December 2011, IBM revealed that 5 innovations will change the world within the coming 5 years.

In January 2012, it released Identity Intelligence. A sort of automation to allow enterprise to manage information accesss.
Then, it launched IBM connections; the next-gen social networking platform which incorporates analytics capabilities.
In Feb 2012, it released IBM Endpoint Manager extends IBM capabilities in managing the security and compliance of servers, computers and point-of-sales devices, such as ATMs and self-service kiosks to smartphones and tablets using mobile operating systems while addressing the unique aspects of those devices.
Followed by launching of QRadar Security Intelligence Platform; state-of-the-art security platform for enterprise designed to combine deep analytics with real-time data feeds from hundreds of different sources to give organizations, for the first time, the ability to help proactively protect themselves from increasingly sophisticated and complex security threats and attacks using a single platform.
In March 2012, it introduces the SmartCloud Foundation which allows organizations to install, manage, configure and automate the creation of cloud services in private, public or hybrid environments with a higher level of control than previously available in the industry.
Followed by released of DB2 10 and InfoSphere Warehouse 10 software that easily integrates with big data systems, automatically compresses data into tighter spaces to prevent storage sprawl, and slices information from the past, present, and future to eliminate expensive application code.
Then it introduced PureSystems as part of expert integrated systems which offers enteprises an alternative to today’s enterprise computing model, where multiple and disparate systems require significant resources to set up and maintain.
