Compared to all the iPhones of yore, how are the latest additions from Apple looking to you?

Seriously, how do you tell one 4 to 5-inch touchscreen candybar from HTC, Samsung, Apple or Nokia or (insert other brands I may have left out) apart from each other?
And then we saw the iPhone 5c: the lower-end, tweaked iPhone 5 version in colour and shook our collective heads because Apple has finally caved and traipsed down the rainbow path, a path which they had forsaken since 1994, and dabbled once with iPods in 2004.
The design innovation that Apple is (was once) famous for seems lacking this time around.
Another way to look at it is this: perhaps human beings just aren’t ready for anything new-fangled. So, I suspect Apple, along with every other phone maker out there, would be squeezing the easy-to-swipe-and-pinch-and-grab form factor for all its worth, for a little while longer.
But all that is just cosmetics.
The iPhone 5s’ guts may titillate a little more.
For one, the iPhone 5s sports a 64-bit architecture. For computers, that typically means it can now access more than 4GB of memory, and this may hold true for the iPhone 5s. We hope someone will tell us soon, because Apple didn’t release much details about this.
Also, the new iOS7 has a more modern look and requires less motion to get to what you need with something called Control Center, along with the AirDrop feature that sends photos straight to your other iDevices and Macs. If that kind of thing rocks your boat, iOS7 will be available for free for selected devices from September 18th.
Last but not least, is something for those who like privacy, but find passcodes a drag. With the iPhone 5s, all that’s required to unlock it would be just your fingerprint. A big win for those who find passcodes too time-consuming, but… doesn’t this give reason to iPhone snatchers to also detach digits, literally, from iPhone owners?
