Betting on the channel and APJ opportunities: STaaS, AI, and sovereignty

An updated programme actively encourages partners to build integrated, multi-vendor solutions with alliance partners. Ecosystem collaboration remains a central pillar of Everpure’s (formerly Pure Storage) partner strategy, especially as customers increasingly expect integrated, multi-vendor architectures.

Everpure is retooling its partner ecosystem around one clear idea: outcomes matter more than infrastructure. Andrew Fisher, AVP for partners in APJ at Everpure, says the company’s updated partner programme is built to help partners move decisively from selling storage to delivering measurable business value.

“Across APJ, customers are no longer looking for individual technology installations – they’re looking for solutions that help them modernise, become more resilient, and prepare for AI-driven workloads,” Andrew said. He explained that Everpure now orients its partner strategy around end-to-end solution delivery rather than one-off refresh cycles. “The updated programme is designed to support partners in delivering real business outcomes, not just technology refreshes,” he added.

Betting on the channel

“As a 100-percent channel focused organisation, working with our partners so we can win and grow together remains our priority,” said Andrew. The revamped programme leans heavily into partner profitability, with new and enhanced competencies and programme elements that reward those who invest in Everpure skills and practices.

“We’ve introduced Solution Practice Designations and the Ambassador tier to recognise partners who have built deep capability in delivering solutions,” Andrew explained. Alongside this, enablement has expanded beyond product training into outcome-focused content: hands-on labs, proofs of concept, bootcamps, and alliance-led programmes designed around use cases rather than boxes.

“The aim is to help partners move confidently from selling infrastructure to delivering integrated solutions that solve customer challenges,” he said.

Tooling for differentiation

Everpure is tuning its programme levers to reward depth, not just volume. “The programme has been evolved to reward expertise, specialisation, and customer impact,” Andrew said.

“Partners who invest in building solution practices are recognised through designations, tier progression, and stronger programme benefits, including enhanced incentives and closer go-to-market alignment with Everpure,” he explained.

One example of this is solution validation that now incorporates alliance-led competencies and demonstrable customer outcomes, rather than standalone product certifications.

Everpure has also sharpened its partner toolset to make it easier to find, sell, and grow accounts. “We’ve also made significant improvements to partner tools to simplify quoting, identify growth opportunities within the install base, and give real-time visibility into incentives,” Andrew said. The goal is to help partners clearly differentiate themselves in high-growth areas and provide a more responsive, data-driven experience to customers.

That being said, the updated programme actively encourages partners to build integrated, multi-vendor solutions with alliance partners. Opportunities in this region

Andrew described the APJ region as both dynamic and diverse, with markets at different stages of cloud and AI maturity but converging around similar themes. “APJ is incredibly diverse, with markets at different stages of maturity, but the common theme is accelerating demand for AI readiness, cyber resilience, and outcome-based services,” he said.

One standout opportunity is Storage-as-a-Service (STaaS). “One major opportunity is around Storage-as-a-Service. IDC has highlighted that it’s a strong customer driver across the APJ region,” Andrew noted. “For our partners, where Everpure’s STaaS solution is backed by powerful SLAs, there’s a huge differentiator to take to market,” he added.

Customer demand for private and sovereign cloud, disaster recovery, and AI platforms is also reshaping partner plays. “Customers are asking for private and sovereign cloud, and support with disaster recovery, and AI platforms, which is why we’ve sharpened the focus of the MSP programme around these offerings,” Andrew explained.

To support this spectrum of opportunities, Everpure’s partner programme is designed with clear growth paths. “The programme is designed to support partners at every stage of their journey, with clear progression paths, specialisation options, and enablement to help them grow in these high-demand areas,” Andrew concluded.
