Cloudflare has just announced a major step to support this shift: making SEA-LION, Singapore’s flagship open-source AI language model family, and dozens of other sovereign AI models from India and Japan, available to developers worldwide on our serverless inference platform, Workers AI.

Regional leadership on sovereign AI: Singapore’s National AI Strategy 2.0 is designed to make AI a public good. SEA-LION v4, now on Cloudflare’s Workers AI, is the region’s most powerful, efficient, multimodal, multilingual model yet, built for Southeast Asia’s diverse languages and cultures.
Access at the edge: Cloudflare’s distributed network across 330 cities, including deep presence in SEA, lets developers deploy AI tools close to their users, overcoming latency, cost and infrastructure barriers.
Choice and interoperability: By supporting open standards and model-agnostic platforms, Cloudflare is helping governments, SMEs and developers avoid lock-in and build AI applications that reflect their own needs and languages.
Lowering the barrier to entry: Serverless, pay-as-you-go pricing and a generous free tier mean even the smallest local teams can experiment and launch AI apps without massive upfront investments.
