Google Cloud has just made several AI security announcements at its annual Security Summit. The new capabilities announced offer organizations new AI-powered protections and new ways to secure their AI innovation.
Providing an overview of these announcements:
AI Protection
- New capabilities for automated discovery of AI agents and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to help security teams automatically identify vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and high-risk interactions across their AI agent ecosystem.
- Extending Model Armor‘s in-line protection to Agentspace prompts and responses to enable real-time safeguards against runtime threats such as prompt injection, jailbreaking, and sensitive data leakage for agent interactions.
- New threat detections for AI agents using frontline intelligence from Mandiant and Google to help organizations enhance incident response for risky behaviors and external threats such as surfacing anomalous and suspicious behavior on agent assets.
Agentic SOC
- Alert Investigation agent is now in preview, enabling organizations to autonomously enrich events, analyze CLIs, and build process trees based on Mandiant intelligence.
Mandiant AI Consulting
- Expanded services now include risk-based AI governance, pre-deployment guidance for AI environment hardening, and AI threat modeling designed to help organizations embrace AI technologies while mitigating security risks.
